Entrance Number 7

All I had to do was turn my head to the right as I walked towards one of the four corners of the world and there was a little animated show with me as the only spectator.

A Break From Minimalism

After a long day of understimulation from the contemporary’s unbridled craving for minimalism and muted colors, this.

The brain is stimulated for a moment, questions asked, details absorbed. A moment of mental nourishment and joy.

Elegantly Framed

In a train you see the world as through a film strip. Framed and ready to admire. If there’s something to admire, of course. And winter delivers, along with nature. Look up, look out.

A Window and A Light Bulb

How exciting it must have been to be one of the several contributing inventors of the light bulb and the at that time revolutionizing technologies.

Unfortunately the extremely long lasting light bulbs also resulted in planned obsolescence that unfortunately turned out to be a long lasting concept.

Details en masse

The only thing I am sure of is that the owner(s) do not strive for minimalism. I like that. Every part of this building makes an impression, triggers activity in my mind, makes me investigate several details. The most beautiful thing is that I am reminded about the history of the building. It is situated in a sector of the city that was completely levelled and modernized many years ago. It is happening again this time with extremely poor and uninspiring architechture. This spot reminds us of a past that was very alive some 50 years ago. A less polished past with eye candy everywhere.

The survivor

This house was here before you. This house will be here after you. It is certainly not a coincidence that people love living in it, love living around it and that it is a tourist magnet together with the surrounding city.

When straight lines work in architechture

You need signs of organic life before wood, stone and metal works in architechture. And some details. It is a city for the living. Not an iPad interface.

Greetings from a lovely past

Somehow organic design and architechture was lost along the way.

Anything but minimalism

One window - an ocean of details and warmth.
